Faith is not dependent on what I see or understand but on what I know God has said. If I could understand everything that God has spoken, either to me personally or through his word, then faith would not be required. Jesus said that we must come to him as a little child to enter the kingdom of heaven? Why? Because children are much more apt to accept things even if they don't make sense. Just consider how innocently they believe in Santa Claus.
What would happen if we began to take God at his word like a child waiting for Santa on Christmas Eve? I believe we would see more of the miraculous such as healing, deliverance, etc Sound too simple? It is simple, but then so is the entire message of the gospel. It is by faith that we accept Jesus as Lord, by faith that we submit to baptism for the remission of sins, by faith that we receive the infilling of His Spirit, and by faith that we receive anything we receive from God. Are you having trouble believing the message of the gospel today? You must quit analyzing it and just accept it by faith. In need of a miracle? Know someone else who needs one? Again, it will only come by faith.
It's time to accept that there are things I can not understand and rejoice in the fact that God does understand it all. Quit analyzing how it will happen and take God at his word. Faith is enough! It will move God's heart every time.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2: 8-9
